East Midlands School of Paediatrics Conference 2025

We are thrilled to announce that the East Midlands School of Paediatrics Conference 2025 is scheduled for 23 September 2025 at the Leicester Tigers Rugby Stadium.

A detailed conference programme will be provided soon, but have you considered submitting an abstract in the meantime?

We invite abstracts for 15-minute presentations (10 minutes for speaking and 5 minutes for questions) or a poster presentation. Below are some suggested categories, though this list is not exhaustive.

• Research

• Education

• Quality improvement/audit

• Case presentations

• ‘Broaden your horizons’ (experiences OOPE or voluntary/charity medical-related activities)

Please submit your abstracts to Asia Kauser england.futureworkforce@nhs.net by 11th July 2025

The list of presentations and posters will be finalized by 20th July 2025.

Guidelines for abstract submissions

• Maximum of 300 words

• Must include a Paediatric trainee from the East Midlands School area as the first or second author. Contributions from Medical Students or Foundation trainees in paediatrics are also welcome.

Guidelines for posters

• Poster size: Maximum A1 (594mm x 841mm), preferably in portrait format

• Posters can be resubmitted from another conference (within the last 18 months)

• At least one author is expected to attend the conference

• Details on poster display will be provided closer to the event.

The abstract is your opportunity to promote the presentation and should be a succinct summary of the research, case report, or presentation. If you haven’t written one before, seek advice from your educational supervisor or college tutor. We aim to encourage newcomers to participate in this conference, so don’t hesitate!
