There is monthly paediatric teaching which covers a range of specialities within paediatrics and is aimed at covering lots of the core curriculum as well as equipping you with knowledge for when you step up to being a registrar! This is led by registrars and consultants and the majority is combined with the East Midland South team, although a few days are separated into north only. Teaching is coordinated by the ETC but each ST3 is expected to help organise one day - this is assigned annually, and you are notified well in advance to organise it! Teaching days are approximately 50% virtual, 50% face to face. The schedule is given to rota coordinators early on so it should be built into rotas, but if you are on-call you will sadly not be able to attend. Please check to see that you can make a good number and if not then let your rota coordinator know.
